Who We Are
Located at the Olathe Advanced Technical Center, the Welding Program is a career-focused course that specializes in the manufacturing of metal components, with a strong emphasis on welding. Welding combines the skills of a craftsman, the dexterity of an artist, the knowledge of a scientist, and the pride of a true professional. Students receive both classroom and hands-on training in various metal fabrication processes and can earn the AWS SENSE Entry Level Welder I Certification upon successful completion of written and practical exams. The program also offers the opportunity to earn College Now credit from Johnson County Community College. Through partnerships with educational and industrial institutions, students gain advanced learning and employment opportunities while integrating workplace skills into classroom and laboratory instruction.
