Who We Are

Located at the Olathe Public Schools Innovation Campus, the Construction Technology program gives students hands-on experience in both on- and off-site construction projects, with most class time spent working in the shop. Students learn essential skills for constructing a residential home, including blueprint reading, building codes, material estimation, safe tool handling, and assembling mock-up structures. The program also covers basic trade practices needed in the construction industry and provides opportunities to explore careers, education, and employment through job shadows and internships. By partnering with industrial institutions, the program integrates workplace skills into classroom and shop instruction, preparing students for advanced learning and future employment.
