    Good Morning Northwest! Here are the weekly announcements:

    Girls Who Code will restart on Monday, January 24th, from 3:10 to 4:00 PM. All are welcome! Meet in Mrs. Whallon's room, 2308.  No experience is necessary, and you did not have participate in the first semester to participate now.

    Good Morning Northwest! Here are the weekly announcements:

    Toys for Tots is facing a shortage of donations. Bring new, unwrapped toys to donation bins outisde of the Front Office or Room 1118 through Dec. 17. Help make sure no child feels forgotten this holiday season!

    Donation Request: We bet you're exciting to get getting your gifts during the upcoming holidays. One demopgraphic that is neglected during the holiday season is teenagers in foster programs. Pitch in to gift Olathe Foster Teens during  OTC's Winter Drive TODAY until the end of the week in a competition against the other Olathe high schools. Donate lightly used or new items to the bins in the front office, such as gift cards, hoodies, fidgets, card games, body spray, etc. Let's win against the other Olathe schools and help our community! Speak to Lydia Abai or Sydney Uher for more information.

    Save the date for this year's Winter Dance, January 29th from 7-10 PM. Student Council invites you to an Extraordinary Night Under the Northern Lights. It'll be a night to remember so come out and have fun in this Spectacular Winter Season!

    Good Morning Northwest! Here are the weekly announcements:

    Girls Soccer - A preseason meeting for all girls interested in playing soccer this spring will take place on Tuesday, December 7 at 10:30am in the Flex Theater.  See Coach Graham in room 1223 with any questions. 

    Pie for a Purpose - Which teacher is going to get a pie in the face on ONW NOW this Thursday??!!!  Grab those dimes, quarters, and dollar bills and head down to the library to make a donation to vote for the teacher you want to see pied!  Check those couch cushions, car floorboards, and in your winter coat pockets for spare change and bills - voting ends Wednesday at 3pm!

    RSC - Raven Service Club's biggest week of the year. the KAY Citizenship Week, is this week!  It is a weeklong event where RSC does service of various categories each day. HERE ARE THE EVENTS:

    • Wednesday, December 8th - SERVE MY NATION: Register to vote campaign! There will be QR codes up around school where those who are 18 can register to vote!
    • Thursday, December 9th - SERVE MY WORLD: During seminar, students will be provided the opportunity to play educational games on freerice.com to donate rice through the world food program.

    Good Morning Northwest! Here are the weekly announcements:

    Track/Field - All students interested in participating in track and field need to attend the meeting during seminar on Thursday, December 2nd in the Flex Theater.  If you are unable ot make the meeting, stop by room 1207 to talk to Coach Stephens.

    Pie for a Purpose - Thanks to some of our AWESOME ONW teachers, the Freshman Committee is excited to kick off the 1st Annual Pie for a Purpose Charity Fundraiser! Stop in the Libary next week to see which teachers have volunteered to take a pie in the face! Make a donation for who you want to see win, and the teachers with the most money raised will get “pied” during the holiday episode of ONW Now!

    College visits this week: Mizzou is here this tomorrow during AI and Washburn is here Thursday at 10:55 AM. Sign up now at Student Services today or email Mrs. Townsend at ketownsend@olatheschool.org.

    International Club will be having its next meeting this Wednesday, Nov 17th at 3:15 PM in Room 2310. Our Italian exchange student, Elena, will be presenting about Italy and we will share Thanksgiving customs. All are welcome to attend. See Mrs. Watts or Mrs. Janzen for any questions. Grazie!

    All students interested in tryout out for the ONW Bowling Team should attend a short informational meeting in the Library this Wednesday 11/18 at 3:15 PM

    NHS candidates... As a reminder your application and recommendations to join the ONW chapter are due to Mrs. Pruett-Epp or Dr. Lunney by November 19th.  If you are unsure of the status of your recommendations, stop by either room.

    Raven's Boys Basketball, there is a try-out meeting on Tuesday, November 9th at 3:15 PM in the Aux Gym. All athletes planning on trying out for the 2021-22 team should be in attendance. See Coach Grove if you have any questions.

    There is a VERY IMPORTANT meeting for anybody who wants to tryout for Baseball on Friday, November 12th at 7:30 AM in the Raven's Nest. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Setter.

    TONIGHT 11/1 at 6 PM in the Commons, Student Council will be hosting an open meeting for all students to voice their concerns or achievements. It is strongly recommended for any and all students to join!

    AP Test Registration deadline is also TONIGHT 11/1 at 11:59 PM! You can register through the College Board website. For more questions, email Mrs. Cherpitel in Student Services at jlcherpitel@olatheschool.org.
