OATC Culnary Arts Win 2022 Kansas ProStart Invitational

    The 2022  Kansas ProStart Invitational was held March 9 at the Corporate Hills Wichita Marriott. We are proud of all that the students accomplished.

    Congratulations to the Culinary Team of Eli Shepherd, Kayla Vander Meer, Jonathan Gardner, Vanessa Padillo-Moreno, Brayden Green, and Christian Harney for their Best Pork dish and First Place win in the Culinary Competition.

    Congratulations to the five member Management Team made up of Ainsley Sulzen, Ella Irwin, Kennedy Clark, and Alyssa Roland for their Second Place win in the Management Competition.  They made a great presentation of their Green Grounds Restaurant concept.   

    Congratulations to OATC Culinary Department and to Chef Philip Shaw and Chef Alison Reed for their investment in these fine students!

    Our students have received over a million dollars in scholarships from various educational institutions and professional organizations over the past few years. 

    After completing our two-year program, students are eligible for 12 college credit hours from the Art Institutes International – Kansas City or seven college credit hours from Johnson County Community College.

    Many of our students have gone on to attend secondary educational institutes, such as Johnson and Wales – Denver and Johnson County Community College.
